Hello for the first time in 2008. We've been working away like busy wee beavers at putting the finishing touches on our album and with the help of the great wee netlabel My Foetal Orange we can now share the fruits of that labour with you all. The album is called Intricacies and you can download it here.
09 December 2007
Yet again, it's taken a wee while to get another update out but let's hope the two new songs on our myspace page will make the wait worth your while...
08 September 2007
The second FSOR compilation that we announced a wee while ago is now out. And there's still a new taiga blues track on it so you may want to head over here to download it all:

Time for a news update again. A lot has been happening - Taiga Blues has been a three piece now for a while and we've been busy rehearsing and writing new material. On top of that, Carsten will soon move house, which will incorporate bigger and better studio facilities. To celebrate that, the web site has been given a facelift, which is looking rather nice if we may say so ourselves... And a new track should be coming out on the new Legoego compilation soon.
10 November 2006

09 August 2006
Due to Legoego, the netlabel that are releasing the new taiga blues material, revamping their entire operations the release of "Im kleinen Kreis" (yep, that's what the EP is called) has been postponed ever so slightly as that revamp's been a bigger undertaking than anticipated. But I'm told that August 20th is the new official release date so the wait should be over soon. Fingers crossed then that it works out as planned and you all get to download the new material very soon...
06 June 2006
As an appetiser for the new EP, you can preview one of the tracks, "Recycling", on my myspace page...
05 June 2006
The new material has now been mastered and will be released on the smashing German netlabel Legoego shortly. Stay tuned!

13 December 2005
The design of the sound page has just been updated to make it a bit more user-friendly - you can now download all the songs directly from here without having to go to the internet archive first. I don't know why I didn't do it that way in the first place...
06 December 2005
Having only just returned from my belated honeymoon, I can now reveal that the new taiga blues material is finished. A first taster of the new tracks is available here. The song's called "Me Happy, You Reason". More stuff will see the light of day as soon as I've found a suitable outlet for relasing the material, i.e. a netlabel that would take me on... so, if any netlabel owners read this, give me call if you like the new song and want to work together...
25 October 2005
Progress with the new material has been slower than expected due to me producing the new Rost album, which is now finished... there was enough time though to write a new song, which will be released along with the other five songs that I have been promising to finish months ago...
31 August 2005
As i was getting married last week, there wasn't much time for me to do anything else, including concentrating on putting the finishing touches on the new taiga blues material. However, a rough mix of one song, "me=happy:you=reason" has been uploaded on Soundclick and five others are also approaching completion.
01 July 2005
The new material is coming along nicely and might surface soon on a website near you...
30 June 2005
"Sans Nothing Blue", is now available on the taiga blues page over at Soundclick. This atmospheric, jazzy ambient piece was put together by the genius mind of Pilesar, from scraps thrown his way by myself, Project Nothing and Station for Imitation, two other soundclick regulars. Hear for yourself what that sounds like...
22 May 2005
"Butterfly Kiss" is now available on the Progressive Composers Workshop compilation, a double CD of music by a new crop of progressive, ambient and experimental composers. The CD is available via the workshop homepage.
14 May 2005

2004's Butterfly Kiss EP is now hosted by the Internet Archive as part of their open source audio collection. Which means that the mp3 downloads are still free... and will remain free.
Other than that, I am busy working on new material, which seems to be taking a more electronic-y turn than usual...
06 January 2005
The first full-length album is finally finished. It's called "Le Journal Intime" and mp3s can be downloaded here.
27 October 2004
As you may have noticed the guestbok wasn't available for a while, which was necessary 'cause it kept on getting abused by some bastards leaving scripts re-directing everyone to their porn sites and shit like that. And since the old guestbok was pretty crap I couldn't do anything about it. I've got a new one now that is still within my budget, which should hopefully be a bit more resilient to hijacking...
And on a more positive note, there's new music from Taiga Blues to look forward to... more news on that soon.
01 August 2004
The site update should now be complete. most importantly, the new Butterfly Kiss EP is now fully downloadable for free.

27 April 2003
Finally, a belated monthly update to the taiga blues home page.
The taiga blues pages at MP3.com have been deleted. Mp3.com has turned out to be pretty useless and there's no point in getting involved in something that's no good, is there?!?
A new link section has been added with a few links to good unknown bands and artists that deserve more traffic, as well as some interesting online music magazines etc.
And the music page has been updated with a few new mp3s...
10 March 2003
At last! The taiga blues web site is up and running...
